1. Individual Overseas Membership

ndividual overseas members are those who live outside Japan. There are two categories: regular and student members. All persons of any nationality engaged in or interested in furthering the purposes of JSNDI are eligible for membership upon approval of their completed application by the JSNDI Board of Directors.

2. Membership Privileges

• receipt of the society’s monthly journal, “Journal of JSNDI”(“HIHAKAIKENSA”in Japanese) sent by sea mail.
• purchase of JSNDI’s publications and reference blocks at member discount prices.
• eligible to contribute technical papers to Journal of JSNDI.
• eligible to participate in JSNDI’s annual conferences and symposia at member discount registration fees.

Note: Overseas members are not entitled to vote in the society’s elections.

4. Membership Term

JSNDI’s annual membership fee is applied to the term from April of one year to March of the next year, the Society’s fiscal year. Applications received mid-year will be prorated for the balance of that fiscal year.

Example for an individual overseas regular member applying in September :
Admission fee : 2,500yen
Term of membership for that year (from September to March): 7 months
Annual membership fee : 12,000 yen× 7/12= 7,000yen
Total payment : 7,000yen + 2,500yen= 9,500yen

5. The Annual fee is due by the end of March each year for renewal of the year beginning the following month.

6. Payment Information

• Japanese yen only
• Payer pay for bank charge
• Nonrefundable and nontransferable
• Payment to the following bank account only
